Ritzau

Ritzau is a news agency in Denmark providing news and information to Danish newspapers, including big and small media publishers. Ritzau worked with 1902 Software for the improvement of their three websites, one of which was Ritzau Index. Ritzau specifically wanted to improve the site’s political index statistics chart. The original version reads data off a spreadsheet, and gets rendered on a page using HTML. The client wanted a backend end system for entering data. The original requirement was to display the chart in native mobile apps. Eventually, 1902 Software enabled the charts to be displayed in responsive web pages. A Telerik Kendo UI module was used for the creation of the charts. A single sign on functionality was implemented with their other system, and a shared system-wide menu was made for the web pages. A plug-in version of the charts, which can be used in an iframe for Ritzau’s external client websites, was created. 1902 Software ensured that the charts work in cross-domain and cross-platform browsers―Mac, Windows, and mobile browsers.
